Alicia Winkelblech
Senior Strategic Iniatives Officer, City of Arlington Office of Strategic Initiatives
Alicia Winkelblech has over 19 years of experience working in the fields of transportation and city and regional planning. She is currently the Senior Strategic Initiatives Officer for the City of Arlington. She directs the Office of Strategic Initiatives which explores innovative approaches to city planning, implements transportation pilot programs, utilizes multi-faceted community engagement, and relies on data-driven approaches to plan for the future of Arlington. Alicia has strongly supported multi-modal transportation initiatives during her career. She is the City’s project manager for the Via On-Demand Rideshare project and has also played a key role in the development of the City's three autonomous vehicle initiatives. Alicia was recognized by Fort Worth Inc. as one of Fort Worth’s 400 Most Influential People in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Alicia received her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University. She received a Master of Urban Planning Degree and a Certificate of Urban Design from the University of Washington. She is an AICP certified planner.
