Author and artist Sophie Blackall has illustrated more than 30 books for children. She is a two-time Caldecott Award winner, for “Hello Lighthouse” (2018) and “Finding Winnie: The True Story of the World’s Most Famous Bear” (2016). Her editorial illustrations have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and many other publications. “If You Come to Earth” (Chronicle) is her most recent picture book. Inspired by children she met on her travels, it is a guide to our home planet and a call for us to take care of both Earth and each other.
