Aamir Akhtar holds a master’s degree in Business Administration and his 35-year career has spanned across sectors, including the oil industry, FMCG, and textiles and apparel.
As a sales and marketing professional, he started his career with the oil industry. He worked for Indian Oil Corporation, India's largest public sector oil company. He then switched to the FMCG sector, working for Geep Industries (subsequently taken over by P&G). For the last 20 years, he has been working in the textile industry. His current and previous assignments were with two of the most respected and largest textile companies in Asia, Arvind Limited and Reliance Industries.
