Policy Officer Energy-intensive industries and Raw Materials - European Commission
After 30 years in the construction material industry worldwide, Vincent Basuyau joined the European Commission – DG GROW as Sustainable Industrial Policy and Construction Policy Officer. He now contributes to the Commission's strategy on raw materials and the competitive transformation of Energy Intensive Industries towards a climate-neutral and circular economy. After his MSc Mining Engineering (IMT Lille Douai – France), he served in Ethiopia as a Technical Cooperation Expert. Then, he developed natural and secondary aggregates businesses in Africa, Europe and the Middle East. From 1996 until 2008, he chaired the Recycling Committee at the European Aggregates Producers' Association (UEPG).Vincent patented 4 processes for secondary raw materials. He gives lectures at IMT-Lille Douai and Université de Technologie de Troyes.
