Chief Operations Officer and Chief of Staff at TIAA
Brad Rogers is the Chief Operations Officer and Chief of Staff for Law, Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs, and Corporate Secretary at TIAA. For more than a decade at TIAA, he has been driving the design and execution of game-changing capabilities and business disciplines across the enterprise. Currently, he is responsible for transforming the entire legal and operations function including the operating model, staffing plan, technology roadmap, vendor strategy (including offshore and outside counsel) and, employee culture and engagement.
In his previous role at TIAA as the Operational Excellence Leader for Asset Management, he led a radical reinvention and major re-engineering of the alternative asset business, delivering innovative operating capabilities and infrastructure for the Global Real Estate investing business, helping to propel it to #2 in the world, more than tripling assets under management, including assets from global institutional investors.
He also designed and built world-class organic growth processes – the product management, new product development, and innovation capabilities across the entire firm. These were later described in a best-selling book, and was mentioned on the cover (The Product Manager’s Handbook, 4th Ed., by Linda Gorchels). Brad was also a visiting instructor at the University of Wisconsin’s Executive School of Business for five years, teaching innovation and product development practices to executives from companies around the world.
With transformation leadership experience at TIAA, Bank of America, JP MorganChase, GE Capital, and Arthur Andersen Consulting, Rogers continually strives to be a committed change agent at TIAA – delivering and maintaining innovative, world-class capabilities that enable engaged, productive colleagues and partners.
