About This Webinar

Knowledge Management (KM) is quite a recent concept, having come to prominence during 1990s, however become an essential part of Management in all Nuclear Organizations. Since nuclear knowledge is unique, without diligence in managing such knowledge, substantial portion of it could be lost due to personnel retirements or could be disused as a result of either negligence or changing priorities. The scope of knowledge management is very broad and the aspects of managing knowledge in its different forms are manifold. IAEA defined Knowledge Management as an integrated, systematic approach to identifying, acquiring, transforming, developing, disseminating, using, sharing and preserving knowledge, relevant to achieving specified objectives.
During this lunch and learn session KM fundaments, its policy and strategy, KM methods and tools will be discussed.

Dr., Associate Professor
Dr. Abbasova has more than 18 years of working experience. She has expertise in analytical and nuclear techniques application. She has got PhD on radiation chemistry in 2012 and in 2016 Diploma of Associate Professor in nuclear chemistry. From 2012 Dr Abbasova become a Simmone member of ICTP Mlab and started to work in Polish Academy of Sciences as a Visiting Professor. She actively involved in IAEA activities from 2008 and from 2017 become a member of IAEA team as a consultant.
She successfully used her knowledge and expertise in quality management system implementation in chemical industry (laboratories, chemical companies) and QMS integration to Knowledge Management System. This brings her to HZDR and EURAD project at her current position.
