NASA Earth Science Data Systems Community Coordinator, Elizabeth Joyner, will demonstrate strategies for using freely open and available NASA data resources related to Health and Environmental use cases. She will showcase resources such as the Disasters and GIS Data Pathfinders, as well as demonstrate how to use NASA Worldview, Giovanni, and Earth Data Search to visualize and download data.

Community Coordinator
Elizabeth Joyner serves on the Earth Science Data Systems (ESDS) Program Communications Team as the Community Coordinator and works across the program to promote the use of NASA data and resources with end users. She previously served as the Senior Outreach Coordinator for NASA Langley Research Center’s Science Directorate as the Task Lead for the My NASA Data project. Elizabeth is a seasoned science outreach specialist and brings more than 25 years of experience working with government agencies, non-profits, and education institutions. Elizabeth taught for over 10 years in both public and private school, as well as worked in informal settings such as Virginia Space Grant Consortium, SC Space Grant, SC Sea Grant Consortium, NOAA/NSF's Center for Ocean Sciences Education Excellence, and the American Geosciences Institute.

Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Environment, Safety and
Infrastructure), Pentagon, VA. He is a military advisor and executive
officer to a two-star general officer equivalent Senior Executive
Services federal civilian provides senior-level review and oversight
of policy requirements on all matters pertaining to formulation,
review and execution of plans, policies, programs, and budgets for
installations, energy, environment, safety, and occupational health to
Headquarters Air Force, Air Force agencies, 11 combat commands,
joint services, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and Congress. He
facilitates congressional responses; assists strategic
communications; and, leads 36 Action Officers to complete taskers
for 18 senior leaders in the fields of infrastructure, energy,
environment, occupational health and safety.
