SAME Environmental COI Webinar: What's Up with PFAS in Air?

About This Webinar

Much of the initial conversation and discourse on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS)—often referred to as “forever chemicals” by the media—focused on their impacts to drinking water supplies and recreational water bodies. Attention then turned to PFAS in soil. Some states established regulatory limits to minimize exposure to PFAS-containing soils and leaching of PFAS from impacted soils to groundwater. Most recently, questions are being raised about inhalation exposures and the need to regulate PFAS in air.
This presentation will provide an understanding of some of the key considerations related to PFAS in air, including potential sources, inhalation toxicity, sampling and measurement, and the developing regulatory climate.
