​Marine engineers who work on autonomous underwater vehicles often run into three challenges:

1. Running tradeoff studies to determine the impact on the mission or requirements given a sensor, algorithm, or component choice
2. Modeling and simulation of the complex underwater dynamics to predict vehicle performance
3. Designing and testing autonomy algorithms in various underwater scenarios before embarking on risky testing at sea.

Our toolchain is well positioned to solve these three challenges, but few marine engineers are aware of it. The goal of this demo is to build up awareness among this audience about how to use MATLAB and Simulink to implement an integrated AUV design workflow that is more intuitive and scalable than the conventional approaches.
