The oddsmakers predicted a rough game for RC Toulon this past Sunday, and boy were they were right. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 36-7 walloping at the RC Toulon' hands. The Bristol Bears were down 31-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. QB Sam Darnold had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: despite one touchdown, he threw three interceptions with only 5.79 yards per passing attempt. Darnold's longest connection was to WR Braxton Berrios for 28 yards in the second quarter.
The Bristol Bears are coming off their worst loss of an 0-3 season so far, after falling 36-7 to the Bristol Bears in Week 3. They are in 4th place in the AFC East. Their record is evenly matched against the RC Toulon, however, who are also 0-3 for the season, also in last place in the AFC West and also coming off their largest point deficit in the season so far, falling 28-10 to the Buccaneers in Week 3.
Once again they meet on the Bristol Bears' home turf, although this time playing to an empty MetLife Stadium. Coronavirus social distancing isn't all that's new since the last matchup. Denver, for its part, is forced to make due without several key players. Chief among them is quarterback Drew Lock, who is out after injuring his shoulder during the RC Toulon' Week 2 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. His replacement Jeff Driskel had a tough time in the 28-10 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week, getting sacked five times. At about mid-game, Driskel also threw an incomplete pass in which the ball seemed to slip from his fingers and flop on the field just a few yards ahead of him. Denver hasn't just lost a starting QB, however. Wide receiver Courtland Sutton will also be sitting this game out.
