Clinical Psychologist, Maggie's Highlands
Linda is a clinical psychologist working at Maggie’s Highlands. She offers psychological input to individuals, couples, families, and groups. These are offered to people who have a diagnosis of cancer as well as their family and friends. Linda completed her doctorate at Edinburgh University.
Prior to Maggie’s, Linda worked for the NHS in the Highlands and Grampian. She has an interest in working with trauma as well as how people adapt and adjust to changes in their lives. Linda also offers supervision, both individual and in groups, to trainees, NHS colleagues and other qualified psychologists.

Jackie first gained oncology experience working on various wards and departments covering different areas of nursing on medical oncology, radiotherapy treatment wards and the leukaemia unit. She then worked as a clinical research nurse from 2002-2007 working on phase one and two clinical trials within the Christie Hospital Trials Unit.
From 2007, Jackie worked as a Lung Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist. This was a newly created post at the trust. Jackie and her colleague have been involved in the development of lung cancer patient information, and supporting patients in both an inpatient and outpatient setting working with 1400 new lung patients at their treatment hospital mainly in the role of assessment and review of lung cancer patients on treatment, symptom control, emotional support and liaison within the multi disciplinary team. Jackie leads on the concurrent chemo-radiotherapy treatment pathway.
Jackie completed the Nurse Prescribers Course in 2008 and is currently one of a growing number of nurse prescribers at The Christie. Jackie has recently completed the MSc in Advanced Practice course at Edge Hill University. Her role has since become a Lung Cancer Nurse Clinician which is a role Jackie has been in since May 2017.
Jackie is currently the Chair of the LCNUK committee and is a member of the BTOG steering group.
