ABCD Webinar: Diabetic Dyslipidaemia – beyond statins

About This Webinar

This is the sixth of our 2021 ABCD webinar series which run on the first Thursday of each month.

Statins have demonstrated proven benefit in the reduction of cardiovascular events in patients with diabetes and cardiovascular disease. In recent months, newer potent therapeutic agents have been launched to treat patients with hypercholesterolemia. The talk delivered by Prof Elizabeth Hughes, a national expert in the management of patients with inherited lipid disorders and complex dyslipidaemias, focusses on the use of such agents in the management of dyslipidaemia.

This webinar, aimed at both the practising clinician and specialist registrars-in-training, will shed light on the management of patients with diabetes and cardiovascular disease where newer therapeutic agents can be used concomitantly with statins or as a useful alternative.
