pv magazine Webinar | How high-powered modules enhance your solar investment

About This Webinar

Initiative partner: Canadian Solar

The overwhelming trend in module technology this year has seen power ratings shoot up into the 600 W+ range, alongside larger overall dimensions, smaller gaps between cells and a slew of other innovations in cell technology, interconnection and more. And these modules are now beginning to be produced in large volumes by industry-leading manufacturers, making a closer look at the technologies they contain vital to the industry that will soon be working with them in the field.

In this pv magazine Webinar, hosted in partnership with Canadian Solar, we delve deeply into the new innovations contained within the company’s latest module offerings, the HiKu7 and BiHiKu7, available in both monofacial and bifacial formats, rated up to 665 W.

Kicking off the program, we’ll be honored to have Canadian Solar founder and CEO Dr. Shawn Qu with us to share his experience in his leadership over the last 19 years in the solar industry. He will give us insight into Canadian Solar’s technology leadership and future development.

After that, Christian Comes, Product Manager at Canadian Solar will take us through the inner workings of the HiKu7 and BiHiKu7 portfolio with detailed explanations on how the modules, already proven to be compatible with leading tracker designs, will significantly reduce BoS costs by allowing more modules per string, and subsequently more watts per pile on the tracker, less cabling and less installation work. Dr. Stefano Russo will highlight the advantages of HiKu7 and BiHiKu7 for developers and the impact on projects’ economics and LCOE. We also welcome Dr. Alan Xu, Sr. Director, Module R&D & Module Process Engineering Center at Canadian Solar, to answer your questions.
