pv magazine Spotlight | Utility-scale inverter by GoodWe– A long list of functions lowers system and O&M costs

About This Webinar

Initiative partner: GoodWe

With system cost for solar down to wafer-thin margins, it is operations and maintenance next in line for a trim. Inverter manufacturer GoodWe has just launched a new high-power string inverter for the utility-scale sector – the HT Series, with quite a list of features to reduce system and operations and maintenance costs.

GoodWe says that its new inverter will detect a whole range of identifiable issues through voltage and current ratios. As falsely crimped connectors have plagued the industry in the past, GoodWe has introduced an AC connector temperature detector, designed to send alarms if the temperature of the connector rises above safety standards.

And if that wasn’t enough to keep asset managers’ heads cool, GoodWe says the HT Series will transmit failure event and string level data not only via standard RS485 communication but also via PLC or Bluetooth. Configuration can be done via Bluetooth, and diagnosis and firmware upgrading can be operated remotely.

With 12 maximum power point tracking (MPPT) channels, the HT Series can be deployed even in undulated terrain or where non-uniform irradiance might occur. The HT is available from 100 to 136kW and an extension to 250kW is on the way.

In this pv magazine Spotlight, you will hear from Ali Bouattour, Technical Manager of GoodWe EMEA, on how GoodWe’s new inverter leads to lower investment costs, ensures enhanced reliability, and he will provide further details about O&M. Questions can be submitted during the Spotlight through a chat window.
