How to Create an Executive Development Program For Your Organization

About This Webinar

By the time your high potential talent is approaching senior level leadership positions, they have been through a considerable amount of formal schooling and supplemental training. When you invest in your future executives and send them to a development program, do they return saying it was “life changing”? Are they are moved to tears because their experience was so powerful? If you answered no, you are not alone.

It is more common to hear little if anything about what someone learned and how they will use it to benefit your business. When this happens, it puts your future development dollars at risk and can hurt the performance of your organization in the long run.

Join me as I share the secrets to creating and delivering an experience for high potential leaders that is so powerful it creates lasting behavior change and achieves benefits that far eclipses your investment!

Agenda
  • The business case for creating an executive education program.
  • Key decision points in the design phase.

Mike Markiewicz is the Director of Executive Programs at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Mike specializes in collaborating with organizations and guiding them to achieve their strategic vision by investing in their talent. Mike has over 25 years of experience creating and facilitating impactful development experiences for small, mid-size, and large organizations in a variety of industries. He employs a consultative approach with each organization he partners with by taking the time to listen, observe, and collaborate. His solutions-centered method of learning design means that the classroom concepts are made for application to real-life situations. This methodology closes the gap between classroom concepts to true real-life behavioral changes in individuals and teams, ultimately leading to success at the organizational level!

Mike has had the pleasure to work for the following companies: Payco American Corporation, ProVantage, Merck-Medco, Kohl’s, and ManpowerGroup where he’s held roles in Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations, and Sales.

After twenty years in Corporate America, Mike seized the opportunity to work for UW-Milwaukee’s Lubar School of Business and lead the Executive Programs team. This team creates and delivers open enrollment and customized development experiences for current executives, and for the executives of tomorrow (aspiring future leaders of organizations).

In his spare time, Mike volunteers with Junior Achievement, where he teaches the youngest future leaders (high school students) about business, decision making, and life skills. Mike has been known to say he is in the business of “changing lives, one hour at a time” and works continuously to learn more so he can help guide others along their leadership journey.

While Mike proudly holds the title of UWM’s Director of Executive Programs, the greatest titles he has held, and will always hold, is Father, Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend.
