Ouidad Educator
Stevie Kennedy is a second-generation stylist and entrepreneur. Stevie developed her techniques under the guidance of master stylists at her father’s salon, where she quickly transitioned from apprentice to mentor in just a few short years. In 2018, Stevie opened her first salon and spa, Lux Haus Salon, and was featured in Salon Today for her innovative approach to assessable beauty.

Today, Stevie owns and operates Salon Kennedy, a boutique salon that caters to hyper-personal appointments with a focus on Ouidad techniques and services. Salon Kennedy celebrates curls and was the first salon in Oklahoma to be recognized as a certified Ouidad salon. At Salon Kennedy, Stevie strives to build her clients’ self-confidence by eliminating the shame that can be felt by having frizzy and unkept hair, a common issue with naturally curly hair. Now, due to the positive impact of Stevie’s stylings, her clients have embraced their curls–loving the soft, clean look that can be achieved by Ouidad’s teachings and products.

Stevie has been a Master Colorist and Stylist for the past five 15 years and a Ouidad Stylist since 2010. She is a Ouidad Certified Stylist who offers a comprehensive, curl-focused approach to cutting, styling and prescriptive care for each specific curl type. As a Ouidad educator, she not only understands how to decipher curl patterns, she knows how to apply Ouidad’s styling methodology to enhance curls to optimum perfection.

When Stevie isn’t creating new styles for her clients, she’s out and about, supporting the curl community. She recently partnered with The Curl World – a diverse group of local women with naturally curly hair who come together to connect, support and empower each other through their love of natural beauty. And, it was through her involvement with The Curl World, she was exposed to their anti-bullying efforts to support teenagers who are teased about their hair. Today, at Salon Kennedy, Stevie works alongside parents of teased children to help restore their self-confidence through new hair styles.

Every day, Stevie continues to champion her love of curls and the Ouidad brand by educating other stylists, incorporating the products and styling techniques into her client appointments and assisting with Ouidad brand exposure through outreach programs.
