How to make self-discipline work for you

About This Webinar

“Self-discipline is the ability to make yourself do what you should do, when you should do it, whether you feel like it or not.”

This quote by Elbert Hubbard is an excellent description of what self-discipline entails. It emphasizes the importance of doing what you should do, even when you don't feel like it, which is a key component of self-discipline.

It reminds me of one of my favourite quotes, "First, say to yourself what you would be; then do what you have to do." (Epictetus.)

We often think of 'discipline' as a negative thing. So, are there ways to make it more fun?

- Link it to what matters most to you.

- Make it a game.

- Find a friend or group of people who share your self-discipline goals.

- Focus on the long-term benefits.

When we practice self-discipline, we are essentially following a set of rules or guidelines that we have set for ourselves, rather than relying on external authority figures to tell us what to do.

We lead ourselves and then follow ourselves.

We are holding ourselves accountable for our actions.

Let's explore how to make self-discipline "work" for us in a fun way.

See you on Tuesday!
