During her career at Principal, she’s held a variety of leadership roles, including Vice President for Group Benefits, Chief Executive Officer of Principal Bank® and Principal Securities, Inc., and Managing Director at Principal Funds, Inc. Kara holds a Bachelor of Arts from Central College, along with her Certified Investment Management Analyst® and Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designations.

Crystal holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources and Management & Leadership from Portland State University. Upon completion she has worked in the non-profit, hospitality, commercial real estate, and food manufacturing industries with a growth mindset in the Benefits Administration scope. Currently, she is the Senior Benefits Administrator at Bob’s Red Mill. She joined the team in November 2021 and has helped forge bridges between the Wellness Committee, ED&I, and Benefit spaces. She is actively engaged in her local chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management, co-directing the ED&I Committee of the Portland Human Resource Management Association.

Peggy Shell is the CEO of Creative Alignments (CA), and creator of Time-Based Recruiting®. She founded CA in 2010 with the goals of creating a better recruiting experience for quickly scaling companies, and creating a great place for her own employees to work. A decade later, CA is not only a trusted recruiting partner to popular and up-and-coming brands in technology, and natural and consumer products, it is also widely recognized as one of the best employers in the U.S. by both Inc. and Outside. This focus on people-first cultures, both with her employees and the clients CA works with, comes from Peggy’s belief that work should be additive to people’s lives to make the world a better place. She aims to perpetuate a cycle of good, starting with work that inspires purpose, belonging and positivity. Peggy serves on the Board of Entrepreneurs Organization’s Colorado chapter for which she is the DEI co-chair. She received her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Education from Northwestern University.

Dr. Radostina (Ina) Purvanova is a Professor of Leadership and Management at Drake University’s College of Business and Public Administration. She received her Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Minnesota in 2008. Her research interests lie in the areas of virtual leadership, high-quality work relationships, and women in the workplace. Her research has been published in prestigious management journals, including The Academy of Management Journal, Personnel Psychology, The Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Business and Psychology, Group and Organization Management, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Human Performance, and Small Group Research.
