Since 2011, the Play On Philly community has come together to celebrate the musical growth of our students during the first session of the school year at the POP Winter Showcase. This year is particularly special as we are celebrating 10 years of providing high quality, immersive music education for Philadelphia students and our community has grown through the virtual environment to welcome students from across the Greater Philadelphia area and as far away as Canada. Our young musicians have been connecting, creating, and learning through our virtual platform. They have continued to build their musical skills while exploring different ways of expressing their creative voice from music technology to dance to composition. We have also partnered with other incredible artists and organizations to provide an enriching and empowering experience for our students, including BalletX, Fleisher Art Memorial, Dr. Adenike Webb, and Dr. Iman Habibi, and their collaborative work will be featured during the performance.

Join us on Friday, December 18th to celebrate our students’ work, including the premiere of an original composition written together with Dr. Iman Habibi and performed by our students. This is a free event, but for security reasons, registration is required. We look forward to seeing you there!
