Shared reading is an integral part of literacy instruction. During shared reading, teachers explicitly model how to access grade-level text and beyond by doing the “heavy lifting” while engaging, guiding, and enticing readers to join in or “share” in the reading process. In this webinar, Karen Cangemi and Jan Richardson will demonstrate how you can use the newest collection of books on the Literacy Footprints Digital Reader, our Digital Book Closet, to teach shared reading lessons to K–3 students remotely and in the classroom. A lesson plan template to guide your planning will be provided. Join us October 7, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. EST.
