Advanced graduate dental education resident concurrently pursuing a Doctor of Science in Dentistry (D.Sc.D.)
Dr. Sourvanos is a fourth-year advanced graduate dental education resident concurrently pursuing a Doctor of Science in Dentistry (D.Sc.D.) and a specialty certificate with the department of Periodontics, at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Philadelphia. He is also a candidate for the Certificate in Translational Research Regulatory Sciences through the Perelman School of Medicine, Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT)- which is supported through the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences of the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Sourvanos holds affiliations as a University Research Fellow, a NIH TL1 Scholar, and a Student Researcher with the Center for Clinical and Translational Research. His research interests are currently focused on the development of novel biotherapies for tissue regeneration and aims to enhance evidence-based oral healthcare with precision dental medicine. Dr. Sourvanos received his B.S. in dental hygiene and D.D.S. from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
