Ashley manages the enterprise team that includes investigative, consumer, political, education, data and documentary journalists. Before joining WRAL, Ashley was news director at WMBF in Myrtle Beach and spent the 10 years before that working in North Carolina televisions newsrooms, in Charlotte, New Bern and Wilmington. She's a graduate of Brown University and has an MFA from UNC Wilmington.

She oversees the producing staff and helps with the daily execution of newscasts. She joined WRAL in 2007 as a producer. She was promoted to PM EP in 2015 and Dayside EP in 2018. Before that she worked at WPMI in Mobile and WJZ in Baltimore. She is a graduate of the University of South Alabama.

Martha oversees WRAL’s assignments and editorial process. She was previously the News Director for WBIR, in Knoxville, TN. Prior to that, she was an executive producer for WFLA, in Tampa, FL. Previously, she was producer for WRAL and WCBD. She's a graduate of the University of South Carolina.

Assistant News Director
Aysu is the assistant news director at WRAL and oversees the news department. Prior to joining Capitol Broadcasting, she worked as the special projects executive producer at WBNS-TV in Columbus, Ohio. She previously worked at WKRC-TV in Cincinnati and the Ohio Associated Press. Aysu coordinates the annual CBC-UNC Diversity Fellowship program for students within six months of getting their first jobs in the industry. She received her BA from Otterbein University and her MA from The Ohio State University.
