Executive Director
Shelley Bierschank is the Executive Director of Preservation Oklahoma, where she helps carry out their mission of "preserving the places where Oklahoma history lives."

Having a deep, lifelong passion for history and place, Shelley began her tenure with Preservation Oklahoma as the Museum Director of the historic Henry and Anna Overholser Mansion. In 2025, she was named Executive Director of POK. She has promoted both the mansion and POK through social media engagement, helped recognize Oklahoma's Most Endangered Places, and advocated for current preservation issues. With a strong belief in the power of preserving spaces that tell our shared stories, Shelley is committed to advancing Preservation Oklahoma’s mission across the state.

Before entering the world of preservation, Shelley built a successful 25-year career in corporate management, where she honed leadership and strategic skills. She is using that experience, along with her deep love of history and place, to help preserve and protect Oklahoma’s architectural history.
