How to make environmentally conscious decisions when designing a system?

Performing a life cycle assessment (LCA) can help you precisely identify the types of impacts a system has, from the extraction of raw materials to its end-of-life phase. However, this is often a tedious process that involves inputting the system architecture into an LCA tool and mapping it to environmental databases.
