  • Kimberly Green-Warren

    Facilitator

    Kimberly Green-Warren, an experienced training consultant and facilitator, is dedicated to turning ideas into action through impactful and engaging learning experiences for adult learners in public health. In her facilitation style, she prioritizes active engagement, thoughtful reflection, practicality, action-oriented activities, and human-centered design. Kimberly has successfully led the design and facilitation of 25+ meetings ranging from 1-day skill-building workshops to comprehensive 2.5-day retreat-style meetings for nonprofit leaders, C-suite healthcare executives, and other audiences. Kimberly collaborates with teams and organizations to host impactful meetings, facilitate team-building retreats, or lead action planning workshops to align and execute on project goals.

    Founder of Public Health Hired

    Passionate and dedicated leader advancing community engagement and strategic planning on public health issues and workforce development, she brings 15 years of experience organizing and implementing community health programs, building strategic alliances with diverse underserved communities, CBOs, local and national healthcare organizations.

  • Nia Smart (She/Her)

    Co- Facilitator and Project Manager

    Nia is a passionate advocate for making a positive impact through increased health education and literacy in underserved and underrepresented communities. With over 7 years of experience collaborating with federal, state, local, and community-based organizations, she has worked tirelessly to bridge gaps in access to vital information and resources. She passionately supports early-career public health professionals, providing opportunities for growth and reminding them of their potential for greatness.

  • Jessie Kelly, MPH (she/her)

    Emergency Response Program Manager, CDC Foundation

    Jessie Biser, MPH, is an Emergency Response Program Manager with the CDC Foundation. Throughout the last 2.5 years, she has played a critical role in supporting the Foundation’s emergency response efforts, including procuring PPE for countries most in need, supporting important research and managing several grants to small organizations to support local needs. Prior to the CDC Foundation, Jessie was a Grants Management Specialist in CDC’s Center for State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Support (now known as the Public Health Infrastructure Center).

    NNPHI, NCCPHT Program Manager

    Experienced nonprofit program manager committed to equitable, strategic, emotionally intelligent, and community-driven public health programming.

    Master of Public Health graduate with foci in aging and equity from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Former FoodCorps service member and program manager.

  • Ajay Persaud, MPH, CPH (he/him)

    NNPHI Senior Program Associate, Climate and Crisis Preparedness

    Ajay is a Senior Program Associate within the Climate and Crisis Preparedness program. He supports key programmatic work in CCP projects including Project Firstline, an-infection prevention and control initiative, and the Coaching for Enhanced Disease Intervention Skills program, Public Health LEADS, and is currently the Program Lead for the NNPHI Public Health AmeriCorps Program.

    Ajay’s passion for public health began in high school when he joined his local volunteer EMS agency and discovered emergency preparedness and response. His goal to protect families and communities alike from natural and man-made disasters has guided him to advocate for improved climate change adaptation and mitigation research and projects.

    Ajay holds his master’s degree in public health with a concentration in Environmental and Occupational Health from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. His graduate thesis focused assessing the impact that wildfire smoke may have on climate change and its implications. Prior to joining NNPHI, Ajay was an Emergency Medical Technician and telecommunications operator at the George Washington University Department of Emergency Medicine.
