Federal Reserve Board - Senior Associate Director
Anna Alvarez Boyd is the Senior Associate Director in the division of Consumer and Community Affairs responsible for directing the Board’s community development programs, consumer and community development research and identifying emerging issues that inform policy. In her role, she manages engagement with the Board’s Community Advisory Council, oversight of the Federal Reserve Bank’s community development programs and the creation of research and analytics that informs Federal Reserve policymakers. Anna has diverse experience in government, the corporate and non-profit sectors where she has managed housing and mortgage finance and community development programs at both a national and regional level. Before coming to the Board, Ms. Alvarez Boyd served as Vice President of Programs for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute where she was responsible for the organization’s leadership development initiatives, policy and educational services. Prior to CHCI, Ms. Alvarez Boyd held the position of Director, Community and Multicultural Lending at Fannie Mae where she developed business opportunities in minority communities through national non-profit housing and realtor associations.

Ms. Alvarez Boyd has extensive regulatory experience. She served as Deputy Comptroller for Community Affairs at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency where she directed a nationwide team of community development professionals responsible for policy on community development topics. During her tenure with the OCC, Ms. Alvarez Boyd founded HOLA, Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Advancement, an employee-networking group that helped to increase the recruitment and retention of Hispanics.

Anna is a native of San Francisco, California and a graduate of San Francisco State University.
