Founder, My Transition Advisors
Brian H. Reich, CPP is the Head of Corporate Security for a leading U.S. based financial services firm. In prior roles, Brian served as the Head of Global Security and Investigations for TD Bank, Director of Global Security for CapitalOne and Director of Corporate Security at Time Warner Cable (now Charter Communications). A former U.S. law enforcement professional and executive, Brian also helped develop My Transition Advisors, “Second Career HQ!” for law enforcement and public safety professionals. In that capacity, Brian helps mentor and prepare all levels of law enforcement and public safety professionals for their second career or “life after the badge.”

In his own prior public sector law enforcement career, Brian was the Deputy Chief of the Bergen County, New Jersey Sheriff’s Office, serving as a key executive in the 600+ person agency. As Deputy Chief, he worked closely with other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies building meaningful partnerships to serve and protect communities. Brian enjoyed a full and diverse law enforcement career having served in a variety of positions which included patrol in one of Bergen County, New Jersey’s largest and most diverse communities and as a detective with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office with assignments to the Special Victims Unit, Computer Crimes Unit, and the county’s Major Crimes Squad.

Recognizing how challenging it was for him to transition from a public sector role to the private sector, Brian became a strong advocate for career transitional training and eventually, because of his own successful transition, a sought-after speaker on the topic. He has been a key driver in developing transitional career training programs in cities around the U.S. to help military, law enforcement and first responders prepare for and enter private sector careers after concluding their public sector service.

Brian is also involved globally in driving best practices in the corporate security industry and is a member of the Board of Directors for the ASIS International CSO Center representing Chief Security Officers from around the world. He is also a board member of the ASIS International New York City Chapter which is one of the largest ASIS Chapters in the world, and an active member of the International Security Management Association (ISMA).

Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, a master’s degree in Administration and is a graduate of the Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government Executive Program for Crisis Management. Brian is also an ASIS International Board-Certified Protection Professional and a DRI certified business continuity professional. He attended the prestigious International Security Management Association (ISMA) Executive Program at Georgetown University and completed a graduate level study abroad Law Enforcement Executive Leadership Program at Wroxton College, Wroxton, England.
