C. Pendleton Hutchinson, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of chemistry at St. Bonaventure University. They received a doctoral degree in analytical chemistry and completed a postdoctoral appointment in environmental-analytical chemistry at Willamette University. Their current research focuses on detecting and quantifying anticoagulant rodenticides in the environment as well as investigating the environmental fates of these compounds and their presence in nontarget species. They are currently a member of the Board of Directors for Out to Innovate. Previously, they have been part of Stanford University’s Queer Perspectives Speaker Series, highlighted as part of the American Chemical Society’s LGBT STEM Day series, and they have appeared on podcasts including Assigned Scientist at Bachelor’s and Hooked on Science. As a graduate student, they were president of the ISU Queer* Graduate Student Association as well as vice president and founding member of oSTEM at ISU.
