This webinar will address key questions that arise in anticipation of and during the academic job search. While our departments and faculty mentors provide the training we need to be eligible for positions in the academy, the application and interview processes often demand that we acquire a supplemental skillset. In addition to addressing the professional skills important to postdoctoral and tenure-track applications, the webinar will also think through the personal factors and considerations that the job search brings to the fore.

Alanna Hickey '16 PhD
Alanna Hickey received her PhD in Northwestern's English Department in 2016, where she was a recipient of the Presidential Fellowship. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Humanities Center at Stanford University and will begin a tenure-track position in Yale's English Department in the fall.
