Barbara is known nationally as a dynamic speaker, author and leading authority on occupational burnout, vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue and resilience. Barbara will focus on an eight pillar framework of resilience to help us all continue to service our community.
Daniel is a nationally respected healthcare and public health leader, policy expert, administrator and author who has been at the forefront of recent major federal health policy negotiations in the U.S. His work focuses on health reform, health equity, mental health, social and political determinants of health, poverty and health system transformation. He is the Morehouse School of Medicine's Executive Director of the Satcher Health Leadership Institute. His presentation will focus on the timely topic of health equity.
Dr. Perry is the Principal of the Neurosequential Network and an active teacher, clinician and researcher in children's mental health and the neurosciences. His work on the impact of abuse, neglect and trauma on the developing brain has impacted clinical practice, programs and policy across the world. He is the author of many books on these topics including the recently released "What Happened to You?" co-authored with Oprah Winfrey.
