Fundamentals of Poetry, Part 3 - Structure

About

What makes a poem? In this one-hour class, the third of our three-part Fundamentals of Poetry class, poet Zoe Branch breaks down different elements that go into the elusive art-form of poetry. Designed to be beginner-friendly, the series offers accessible tools that allow participants to better understand how to read and write a poem, continuing in this third class with a breakdown on poetic structure. The courses are designed to build cumulatively, but they remain effective when standing alone: no prior experience or participation are necessary. Before the class, registrants will receive a link to download the printable workbook that will include definitions, poetry examples, and space for brainstorming and writing.
