Michiel is Managing Partner at Zuyderzee Capital, a financial services boutique in The Netherlands with a focus on international maritime and logistics. Before joining Zuyderzee Capital in July 2019 Michiel has been employed with DVB Bank, a transport finance specialist mainly active in ship, aircraft and railcar financing, for almost 24 years. Most recently Michiel was employed as Head of Shipping Finance Europe (one of the 5 regional shipping teams) and a member of the management team of the bank.

Prior to this, Michiel has had other senior commercial, business development and risk management roles in the industry. Michiel managed multi-billion US$ senior debt portfolio’s from a commercial as well as a risk management perspective.
Michiel structured and managed numerous container equipment, shipping and infrastructure transactions. He was also the global head Syndications at DVB Bank from 2005 to 2010 maintaining relationships with other financial institutions on a global basis and distributing large volumes of senior and junior shipping, aviation and rolling stock debt. Michiel has worked inter alia in Singapore, London and continental Europe. He is a Dutch citizen with a Masters degree in Law from Erasmus University in Rotterdam and completed a Risk Management program at INSEAD.

Head of Shipping Finance, Managing Director, Amsterdam Trade Bank N.V.
Iraklis Tsirigotis is the Head of Shipping Finance in Amsterdam Trade Bank ('ATB'). He has been responsible for the overall initiation and development of ATB's shipping finance business since he joined the bank in July 2016.

Prior to joining ATB, he was a relationship manager in the Transportation department of ABN AMRO Bank covering shipping companies running out of Northern Europe. He holds a Master of Science in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School (City University of London) and a Bachelor of Science in Maritime Studies from University of Piraeus. Also, he has been a CFA chartholder since August 2016.

As from 2008, Gust served as Global Head and Managing Director Transportation Clients for ABN AMRO bank, one of the leading ship finance franchises in international banking.

Gust left banking in 2018 to focus on developing financing solutions and new business models
for investing in clean / alternative fuel propulsion, a.o. benefitting from his experience from
his involvement with the Sustainable Shipping Initiative, the Climate Bond Initiative, and
several other “green” projects and initiatives.

Gust is based in Rotterdam and holds a Master’s degree in Business and Economics from
Erasmus University in Rotterdam (1989), completed an executive MBA at CEDEP in
Fontainebleau, France (2007) and graduated from INSEAD’s International Directors
Programme in September 2019.
