Carolina Buitrago leads Mass Insight’s work on networked school improvement initiatives supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In this role, Carolina leads school teams from six high schools in the New England region to increasing AP participation and success for historically marginalized students through the systematic testing of strategies and Improvement Science methods. She has led the development and dissemination of the AP Equity building tools, a practical toolkit for supporting equity in AP at the classroom, school and district levels. Carolina has over 25 years of experience in education, which combine mixed-methods research on school improvement and teacher effectiveness, data analytics and innovation in survey design, program evaluation of school-based and national initiatives, policy development and implementation, and middle school counseling.
