除臨床工作外,王先生積極參與學術與專業培訓,現為香港大學榮譽臨床督導、曾任香港都會大學兼職副講師,並於MindHK擔任臨床督導。在執業前,王先生亦曾擔任中學教師及在非牟利教育組織Teach For Hong Kong擔任項目經理,其後亦擔任董事會成員至今,促成他對香港教育環境有深入的了解。
Mr Ernest Wong is a Registered Clinical Psychologist in the Division of Clinical Psychology, Hong Kong Psychological Society (HKPS), and an Accredited Clinical Psychologist on the official register of the Department of Health, HKSAR Government. He also serves as Honorary Secretary of the Division of Clinical Psychology of HKPS. Mr. Wong earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Toronto, Canada. He further obtained a Master of Social Sciences in Applied Psychology from City University of Hong Kong, followed by a Master of Social Sciences in Clinical Psychology from The University of Hong Kong, where he is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology during his professional practice .
Mr. Wong brings extensive experience in youth and community mental health, specializing in professional support for students, parents, social workers, and educators. He previously served as Clinical Psychologist and Unit-in-charge at The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, where he established and led school-based mental health services, crisis intervention teams, and community mental health initiatives. Under his leadership, the unit delivered professional psychological assessment and therapy services for children, adolescents, and adults within multiple schools and communities .
He possesses substantial clinical expertise in assessment and intervention for special educational needs (including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), mental health concerns, family, and parenting issues. Mr. Wang excels in multidisciplinary collaboration, partnering with educators, social workers, and allied professionals for comprehensive support. He is fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin, offering clinical services to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Beyond his clinical work, Mr. Wong actively engages in academic and professional training. He currently serves as Honorary Clinical Supervisor at The University of Hong Kong, and was formerly a Part-Time Lecturer at Hong Kong Metropolitan University and Clinical Supervisor at MindHK. Before joining the profession, Mr. Wang worked as a secondary school teacher and Program Manager for Teach For Hong Kong, where he now continues as a member of the Board of Directors, contributing his deep insight into the Hong Kong educational landscape .
