The Lancet Medical Imaging & Theranostics is a gold open access journal dedicated to clinical and technological advances in radiology, nuclear medicine, and theranostics. We are committed to publishing high-quality clinical research and thought leadership on established or emerging diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology techniques, including radiology, MRI, PET, ultrasonography, nuclear medicine, theranostics, and other technologies, as well as novel applications of imaging for screening, diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of disease across all medical specialties. The journal also covers clinical research in imaging biomarkers, radiopharmaceuticals, molecular imaging, nanotechnology, radiomics, and applications of AI and machine learning.

Join us—Ali Landman, Editor-in-Chief, Pierre Nauleau, Deputy Editor, and Ankita Das, Senior Editor—for this Lancet Webinar, during which you will learn about the journal's aims and scope, what we are looking for in a research paper, and best practices to prepare your manuscript for publication in The Lancet Medical Imaging & Theranostics.

Whether you are an existing author or are thinking of submitting to The Lancet Group for the first time, we are committed to supporting you on whatever stage of your publication journey you find yourself.

Deputy Editor, The Lancet Medical Imaging & Theranostics, USA

Before becoming Deputy Editor of The Lancet Medical Imaging & Theranostics, Pierre Nauleau was a Senior Editor for eBioMedicine (2020-2023) and then an Agile Senior Editor for various journals of The Lancet Group (2024-2025). After a Master's degree in Medical Imaging at Ecole Normale Cachan - Université Paris-Saclay (Paris, France), Pierre completed his PhD in Acoustics at Sorbonne Université (Paris, France) developing ultrasonic methods of characterisation of bone properties in 2013. He then conducted post-doctoral research at Columbia University (New York, NY, USA) focused on ultrasound elasticity imaging applied to cardiovascular diseases. In addition to these topics, Pierre is also interested in the environmental sustainability aspects of medical imaging.
