Enhancing efficiency in wastewater treatment

About This Webinar

Traditionally, the links between energy and water run deep. Several studies indicate that today’s water sector, which includes the collection and treatment of wastewater, accounts for 4% of total global electricity consumption.

Between 50%-90% of the energy consumption in a standard Wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) occurs during the process of aerobic activated sludge treatment by aeration. An alternative technology would involve the use of Sulzer’s HST turbo blowers that are helping to deliver the highest efficiencies for aerations processes and are widely used in wastewater treatment plants today.

With several countries in the Middle East setting targets on the reduction of carbon emissions, efforts are underway to reduce the energy consumption of wastewater treatment.

That is why Sulzer, a global leader in fluid engineering, is partnering with Utilities Middle East, a brand of ITP Media Group, to host a webinar on: Enhancing efficiency in wastewater treatment.

The webinar will bring together experts and industry executives from the region’s wastewater treatment sector to discuss all the challenges in wastewater treatment that include high energy use and costs, especially in the pumping and aeration operations.
The webinar will also showcase breakthroughs in digital solutions for wastewater management and treatment, and how utilities in the GCC can effectively maximise the full value of innovations for better asset performance.
