Bringing up children can be a rollercoaster ride for parents. Parents can face a whole range of issues including how to feed and wean a baby, nourishing ‘selective’ eaters and  dealing with gut and immunity issues and anxiety or sensory processing issues.

We know that supporting bodies, minds and souls with proper food and nutrition builds the foundations for longer term health and resilience so that children and their families can stay happy, focused and well, even when life sends its challenges. Since a child’s brain and body development continues until they are well into their twenties, what they eat across this whole period lays down the foundations for their health in middle age and later years.

Working with children can be immensely rewarding because their bodies can often adapt so quickly and parents are often very motivated to put the work in. However there are some unique challenges, such as knowing what laboratory tests are the easiest and most informative for young clients and how to interpret them; how to implement diet changes from a child’s perspective and incorporate these into family life, and how to choose appropriate food supplements and ensure safe dosing.
