Erik Matson is a Senior Research Fellow, Mercatus Center at George Mason University. He studies the history and philosophy of economic thought, focusing on the work of David Hume and Adam Smith. Dr. Matson earned degrees in economics from George Mason University. His articles have been published in academic journals including Hume Studies, History of European Ideas, the Erasmus Journal for Philosophy and Economics, and the Adam Smith Review.
