I am the Manager for the Middle East & Africa regions at IED (Istituto Europeo di Design). In my role, I focus on building strong connections and relationships across the region, while leading recruitment efforts to help students discover the incredible opportunities at IED. With years of experience in international education and a deep understanding of the Middle Eastern and African markets, I am passionate about promoting creative fields such as fashion, design, and visual arts.

Fashion designer
Italo Marseglia is a passionate fashion designer with a multifaceted career (design, teaching, consulting). Italo lives his creative professionalism with strong enthusiasm. With an eye toward tailoring, handmade and sustainable fashion, Italo is equipped with solid technical and transversal skills ranging from handcrafting to management: his training in fashion design has never been a constraint or limitation to the expression of creativity. He currently leads the fashion design master course at IED Roma. Italo deals with historical and philosophical topics of fashion.

Associate Professor in the Department of Textile and Fashion
Duygu Atalay Onur is a HEA Fellow and an Associate Professor in the Department of Textile and Fashion Design at Istanbul Beykent University. She has been leading the department since 2024. Her research focuses on sustainable fashion design, craft production, women’s cooperatives, artisans in the third world, cultural identity, and fashion design education. Her research related to sustainability and Turkish crafts was granted by the Design History Society in 2022, and she has published in various journals, including Fashion Practice and Craft Research.
