About This Webinar

By attending this online meeting, you will have the opportunity to learn about the method and structure of this two-year programme and to explore the career profiles and job opportunities offered by the course.

What are DASL programmes at IED?

The world is becoming increasingly complex, interconnected, and limited in resources. As a result, it has become the stage for growing economic and social inequalities. In this context, it is essential to imagine design as a transformative platform for beginning to care for the world—genuinely, through listening and attention.

The power of imagination enables designers to respond to the constantly evolving needs of society and the environment, adapt to emerging technologies, and formulate new design questions in anticipation of future challenges.

Starting from these ideas, we have developed the educational offering of our DASL programmes — Second-Level Academic Diplomas — around the concept of DesignXCommons, meaning design applied to the regeneration, integration, and sharing of common goods.

By designing for the common good, students expand the technical skills acquired during their three-year undergraduate programmes, deepen their independent critical thinking in relation to the urgent challenges of the present, and develop a methodological approach capable of bringing about meaningful change, while recognising the interdependence between design decisions and their impact on people, society, and the environment.
