FREE STUDENT WEBINAR:
Ever wondered why top students start their UCAT prep up to 2 years before their actual test? The reality is that once you enter year 12, the academic demands rise exponentially as the pressure of achieving a 99+ ATAR (generally advised for medicine or dentistry) starts to mount properly.
Meeting the ATAR requirements as well as scoring 95th+ percentile in the UCAT and preparing for the interviews all in the space of one academic year is definitely a lot to handle and 90%+ students fail to make the cut due to lack of time and poor organisation.
iCanMed has always encouraged students to get at least one of these challenges resolved and out of the way before year 12 begins and our advice is to prioritise and do as much UCAT prep as possible during the summer break. The typical amount of time that efficient students take to finish UCAT prep is approximately 250 - 300 hours and considering you will be extremely busy with schoolwork from February onwards, there is no better time to make a start (if you haven’t already) than what remains of the summer.
We have had over 200 students make a start with us just in December and more than 1,300 since April this year. This webinar will provide detailed advice and tips on how to catch up to all the progress they have made so that you don’t fall short of the competition.
In this webinar, Ray, iCanMed’s education advisor, will share with you the techniques and timelines that are research-proven to help you best utilise your summer break for the most effective/efficient results with reference to the following points:
- Top tips on how to catch up on the prep that you have missed since April
- How to best organise your prep with the do’s and don’t of what gets you a UCAT score high enough to earn interview spots
- A summer holidays prep plan to get you up to scratch in terms of timeline and workload distribution
- An up-to-date mini mock test containing UCAT questions based on the 2021 exam
- Comprehensive teaching to help you learn how to solve questions correctly and prepare for the UCAT intelligently
iCanMed Results: Why You Should Listen to Us!
In UCAT 2020, iCanMed students dominated the test where approximately 53% of all the students who scored 90th to 99th percentile (i.e. top 10% of ALL candidates) used the iCanMed UCAT Course to prepare. Even more impressive, approximately 71% of all the students who scored 96th to 99th percentile (i.e. top 4% of ALL candidates) were iCanMed students.
