This webinar is a private event for Penrhos & Surrounding School students only.
The path to entry into medicine is easily the most challenging compared to any other university course. This difficulty stems from the quality of applicants, where only the highest achievers in the ATAR, UCAT and interviews are selected.
However, after talking to thousands of students and parents every year, it is evident that most candidates cannot achieve such results because they lack a fundamental understanding of the precise mechanics of each assessment.
If a student does not have a firm grasp on the intricacies, there is no way they will be able to create a comprehensive plan for them to know when to undertake what preparation actions to guarantee the required results for entry - especially when there are THREE, not ONE, selection criteria at stake.
In response, iCanMed's brand new school workshop/webinar:
- Breaks down the UCAT and interview in the same comprehensive way as the previous event to help students realise the importance, uniqueness and challenges of each assessment
- Provides the opportunity for students to attempt the latest questions used in the UCAT and interview to realise the technical complexities of the assessments while identifying immediate skill gaps
- Provides a comprehensive preparation plan adapted to the timeline of year 10s and 11s candidates while taking into account additional commitments (e.g. ATAR, voluntary work, etc) to help students stay organised to maximise efficiency and minimise stress
