Professional Communication 101

Dr. Christopher Blakely currently serves as the Assistant Vice President for Campus Life and Dean of Students at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). As the Assistant Vice President for Campus Life and Dean of Students, Dr. Blakely provides oversight to Student Conduct administration and provides leadership to the areas of Fraternity and Sorority Life, Student Care Services, Eagle Media (to include Eagle Radio, Eagle News, and Eagle Television), The Office of Student Involvement, Programming Board, and The Multicultural and Leadership Development Center. Additionally, he manages the team effort and response to student crisis and comprehensive range of student development programs and services at the university. Within the community Dr. Blakely serves as the Vice-Chair of the Equity and Diversity Advisory Committee for the Lee County School District and The President of the Black Faculty and Staff Association at FGCU. His loving wife Camillá and two children, Israel Christopher and Imani Christine support Dr. Blakely as he works to serve as a resource agent for students to ensure adaptability and student success.
