She tutors and develops training with nationally recognised organisations and holds certifications such as CIPP/E, BCS Data Protection Practitioner, while recently starting her IAPP AIGP journey. Drawing on her background in HR, recruitment, and compliance, Laura takes a people focused approach, blending practical know-how with a solid theoretical foundation. With experience in various sectors, including healthcare and education, she helps businesses protect their data while keeping operations running smoothly. Laura believes in embracing the future of technology, while maintaining strong governance and striking the right balance so that innovation never overshadows fundamental rights.

Mark Hasted

Senior Technical Engineer at Exterro

Mark has covered various IT roles since joining the Legal GRC and DFIR industries in 1996 and working his way from desktop support to systems administration. From 2011 Mark’s career has focussed on computer forensics, particularly regarding corporate work at several FTSE 100 companies, ranging from data breaches and IP theft to globe-spanning fraud and litigation. He has engaged in covert collections requiring stealth and seizures of servers and company assets requiring careful diplomacy. Since joining Exterro Mark has been putting his real-world experience to the test with software tools he wished he’d had available to him back in 2011.

Bilal Ghafoor

Director & PDPL Consultant

Bilal Ghafoor has been working in the field of data protection since 2010, which is well before the first draft of the GDPR text was even published.

For over a year he has been working with clients in KSA on PDPL compliance.

He holds the IAPP CIPP/E & CIPM, the BCS Data Protection Practitioner qualifications and is co-director of GCC Data Protection Ltd.
