In this webinar, the world’s smallest dual-channel low-side gate driver ICs will be introduced. To complement the industry standard packages (DSO-8, TSSP-8, WSON-8) Infineon developed new packages with smaller size and only 6-pin by removing the typical EN signal. The EiceDRIVER™ 2EDN7534U comes in an ultra-small TSNP-6 package with only 1.1 mm x 1.5 mm. This package enables new 48 V DC-DC converters to supply the demanding Artificial Intelligence (AI) Servers and Data Centers. The EiceDRIVER™ 2EDN753xB is available in a small SOT23-6 package with 2.8 mm x 2.9 mm. Since the SOT23-6 is a leaded package it also allows automatic optical inspection (AOI) like the traditional DSO-8 and TSSOP-8 packages. But smaller packages do not mean less performance!

All gate driver ICs from the EiceDRIVER™ 2EDN Generation 2 product family share the same input logic interface and the same output stage, resulting in uncompromised gate driving performance and robust system operation. Even in demanding applications with multiple FETs in parallel, it’s possible to connect the two output stages together to achieve 10 A sourcing and 10 A sinking peak current capability. This is possible due to the low channel-to-channel propagation delay mismatch over temperature and process.
