Sankinah L. Curtis has been a licensed Cosmologist for 20 years graduating from Freehold Vocational Program in 1995-1996 and continued her education at Dudley Cosmetology University, Kernersville, NC in 1996-1997 It was there where she received her instructor training with honors graduating at the top of her class. She was licensed as a Cosmetology Instructor in 2001 in the District of Columbia. The passion for teaching Cosmetology was in her from day one of entering school. And going to Dudley helped to develop the skill of teaching and enhance her gift.

Ms. Sankinah ( aka Kinah) Curtis is a Manalapan/ Englishtown New Jersey native. She has an extensive career as a cosmetology educator. Ms. Curtis started her educator career at the Dudley Cosmetology school in the District of Columbia. She has also trained cosmetology professionals at Trident Technical College Charleston, SC, at The Paul Mitchell school in Charleston, SC and The Paul Mitchell School Esani in Roswell, GA. Ms. Curtis was the owner of a thriving and very well known Strandz Salon and spa where she held hands on training classes for stylist to continue advanced education in Charleston SC before relocating to Atlanta, GA during the fall of 2014.

Ms. Curtis consults cosmetology professionals both domestically and abroad. She teaches with passion and conviction to ensure that students and cosmetology professional gain a greater understanding of subject matter. Ms. Curtis is duly equipped to provide relevant information to an ever evolving profession due to her educational underpinning, real world experience, and a keen eye for emerging trends. Ms. Curtis teaches core and advanced cosmetology concepts to both beginners and seasoned professionals. Ms. Curtis takes a consultative approach when mentoring both beginning and seasoned cosmetology professionals by blending both theoretical and practical concepts in an easily digestible format.

Ms. Curtis is a consummate learner with a sincere desire to empower her students. Ms. Curtis is well versed and well respected in the art and theory of coloring, styling, texturing, weaving, and wig making.
