The objective of this training workshop is to review the modular fabrication, assembly, construction and commissioning and start-up (CS&U) requirements and methods. The approaches introduced in this workshop will complement and enhance the Construction Industry Institute (CII) best practice for industrial modularization. We will review the fabrication, assembly, construction, and commissioning considerations that are required for modular executions and designs. This training workshop is intended to be interactive.
Participants of this workshop should leave with an understanding of the following:
What is fabricability and how to incorporate into modular designs?
What are the differences in modular construction compared to traditional stick-built executions?
What are the key construction requirements for modular designs?
What are the key CS&U requirements for modular executions and designs?
• Modular fabricability requirements
• Modular construction differences compared to traditional stick-built executions
• Modular constructability requirements
• Modular CS&U requirements
