Neil is the Chief Executive Officer of VASPnet, the world’s assured source of regulatory data
on virtual asset service providers. He also serves as co-chair and technical editor of the
interVASP Standards Working Group (ISWG), having authored the interVASP messaging
standard IVMS101 for the sharing of information between VASPs to facilitate compliance
with FATF recommendation 16.

Neil started his career in London, working with various European investment banks in
developing solutions to automate the generation of OTC derivative trade confirmations. After
relocating to New York in 2007, he served as Solutions Architect for various US banks
before returning to London in 2011 to take on the role of Global Head of Enterprise
Architecture at HSBC Global Banking and Markets. While at HSBC, he played a key role in
defining operational and technology strategy, particularly in the regulatory compliance and
client data space. Among other transformation programmes, his work included the
implementation of the first cross-industry KYC utility for investment banks.
After moving to Gibraltar in 2015, Neil took on the role of European Regulatory Technology
Lead for the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC), leading the programme to
implement MiFIR Transaction Reporting in Gibraltar.

Michael Heller joined Dow Jones in 2013 and currently leads the firm's Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) solutions business. He draws from a background as an attorney, sales executive, and consultant to ensure clients building efficient compliance and risk management programs leverage the right data and technology.Michael's career has been focused on bringing transparency to global business. Subsequent to completing his law degree, he worked as a consultant with the Business Intelligence Group, and later the Anti-Money Laundering Group at Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York City. Michael has also served as CCO and counsel at Abacus Wealth Partners in Los Angeles. He is a member of the State Bar of California.
