Practice Session: Virtual Family Workshop: 20/20

Friday, October 16, 2020 · 12:30 p.m. · Eastern Time (US & Canada)
About This Webinar

Our current artist in residence Samara Golden creates art from her own emotional life. She is always reflecting on what she sees and feels in the world around her. During this zoom family workshop, FWM Educator Katie Parry will lead families through an interactive, virtual tour of our current exhibition Samara Golden: Upstairs at Steve’s, beginning with behind the scenes look at the experiments and discoveries that shaped the finished project! The tour will conclude with a hands-on activity creating reflective sculptures that express the multifaceted story of what your family has seen, felt, and experienced in the year 2020. Families will need to gather a few materials from their home prior to the program.

- a cereal box
- collage materials (magazines, newspaper, old books, wrapping paper, any scrap paper)
- a glue stick or glue (scotch tape could work as well)
- sharpie markers (oil pastels or ball point pens could work as well)
- tinfoil
