Bio Dr Jenny Brockis
As a child growing up in the UK Jenny’s favourite story was “how the elephant got his trunk” by Rudyard Kipling. Just like the elephant she was insatiably curious as to what made things “just so.” Sadly, her home experiments weren’t always successful in discovering how things worked – like the time she set fire to the kitchen and the time she caused the ceiling of the family room to collapse after investigating how the new-fangled gadget called a bidet worked.
Her curiosity and desire to be of service to others led her to pursue a career in health – as a nurse, doctor, principle GP of her own practice and board-certified lifestyle medicine physician specialising in brain health, mental wellbeing and workplace relationships. As Founding Director of the consultancy Brain Fit today she works as a keynote speaker, trainer and mentor showing how we can all develop a thriving mind, think smarter, achieve our goals and enjoy a happy and fulfilling life.
A voracious reader and prolific writer she is also the author of four books including the best-selling Future Brain. Her latest book “Thriving Mind: How to cultivate a good life” was written to address the biggest issues she sees affecting us today; overwork, overwhelm, exhaustion and loneliness.
Away from work, you’ll find her either out and about exploring nature, engrossed in a book, trying out new culinary delights on her long-suffering husband or spending time with those that mean the most.
